Artur Rojek
Artur Rojek (b. on May 6, 1972), also known by his nickname "Rojas", started what would later become Myslovitz in 1992. He was 20 years old and wasn't much good at the guitar at the time. Like several other members of the band, he didn't go to school to learn music. It's hard to believe that a person with such musical talent and creativity started out all wet. He was previously a junior swimming champion and then a swim teacher for children before trying his hand at music. It was quite a career change! Within Myslovitz, Artur is the lead man. He sings lead vocals and plays the guitar. Despite once being described as "kind of ugly", the general public seems to respectfully disagree! He is the most popular of all the members of Myslovitz. Did I forget something? Or do you just want to talk about Artur? Leave a ![]() Artur also had another group (short-term project), founded in 1998, called Lenny Valentino. The group was the brainchid of him and his friend Mietall Waluś of Polish group Negatyw. By 2001, the lineup of Lenny Valentino had grown to five and was a mix of three popular Polish groups: Myslovitz (Rojas - vocals, guitar), Negatyw (Waluś - bass), and Ścianka (Jacek Lachowicz - keyboards, Maciej Cieślak - guitar, Arkadiusz Kowalczyk - percussion). In fact, only one person from Ścianka wasn't in Lenny Valentino! The end result was an eccentric sound that was both all and none of the three groups. To date, the group has only one album: Uwaga! Jedzie tramwaj! or "Warning! Train's coming!" It's a short album, but it's quite an experience. Never difficult to listen to, the album has an almost creepy atmosphere that I like to describe as "childlike", in that it seems to be written through the eyes of a child, but a very dark one. ![]() Talk about Lenny Valentino: |
